Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar together until smooth. Add the almond extract and mix.
Add flour and pinch of salt. Mix.
Add the melted butter. Beat mixture until all ingredients are combined.
Spread the batter into a greased, floured 9" round cake pan (or lined with parchment paper). Smooth the top of the batter, and sprinkle with granulated sugar and sliced almonds.
Bake for 40-50 minutes until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Allow the Almond Skillet Cake to cool in the pan. When ready to remove, insert a knife between the edges of the cake and the pan to help release the cake from the pan.
Enjoy with a hot cup of coffee or all by itself!
