2 hours before you want to make the honey butter, set a stick of butter out at room temperature to soften.
Once the butter is softened, place the stick of butter into a mixing bowl along with the honey and cinnamon (optional).
Use an electric mixer to whip the butter on high for 2-3 minutes until smooth and light. It won't be super airy like you see at some restaurants, but it will be a light spreadable texture.
